Aida: Who’s Who in the Cast

Adam Hamilton (Pharaoh) is a Junior here at Thomas. This year Adam is portraying the Pharaoh. You may have recognized him in other productions such as Mulan (Mushu), The Little Mermaid (Chef Louis), Alaadin (Razoul), Great Expectations (Orlick), Arsenic and Old Lace (Officer Brophy), George Washington Slept Here (Mr. Prescott), Grease (Eugene), and Harvey (Judge Omar Gaffney). He participates in the Webster Thomas Improv Club, the Morning Show, Barrel of Monkey’s, and the Webster Thomas Jazz Ensemble. You may also have recognized him on his YouTube channel (that you’re obviously subscribed to), OutsideTheBox ( He thoroughly enjoys being  a part of the cast and watching the magic take place making the productions every year. He would also like to thank his family and friends for all of their support. Not just specifically for this production, but for everything through every year. With that said, TADA! Enjoy the show!
Madison Fulton (Aida) is a senior and is thrilled to be in her 3rd and final Thomas High School Production. Her recent stage credits include, Linda in The Wedding Singer (Blackfriars Theatre), Cha-Cha in Grease (WTHS), Ursula March in Sweet Charity (WTHS), and Rapunzel in Into The Woods (Stages). Along with Webster Show Choir and Select Choir Madison is also an active member of The Roc City Singers, a regional group of high school students who perform all over Rochester. Madison has participated in Area Allstate (2015-2016 school year) as well as being selected to take part in NYS’ Conference All State. Madison takes voice and acting lessons with Judith Ranaletta. She would like to thank the fantastic cast, crew, and artistic staff for helping her grow through this process and for all their hard work. Madison also thanks her friends and family for their never ending support.
Carmella Jones (Ensemble) is 15 years old and is in 10th grade. She has been dancing since 2005 at Strike It Up Artistic Center, including hip hop, pointe, tap, and modern. She also takes voice lessons from Katie Fisher and Piano lessons at the studio. Over the summers, her Dance studio conducts theatre camps and Carmella has been involved since the 5th grade. She also plays clarinet and sings at Webster Thomas. She loves to read in her downtime and play with her younger brothers.
David Potter (Soldier/Minister/Slave) David is excited to be in his second Thomas High School production and his first Thomas musical! Outside of AIDA, David is a part of Improv club and Shakespeare club. He is also a tenor in Chorale. David would like to thank his fellow cast members for being awesome (and rad).
Liam Hatz (Ensemble) Liam is a Junior at Thomas High School. He has been a part of the Thomas musicals since his freshman year. He has taken part in many vocal ensembles such as RPO holiday pops,and area all state. He is in Barrel of Monkeys,Show Choir, chorale, and select choir. He would like to thank his friends, parents, girlfriend, and directors for all the love and support. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Peyton Smith (Nubian) is a freshman at Webster Thomas High School. She has been participating in choir groups and school shows since sixth grade, performing in past shows such as Aladdin Jr., Peter Pan Jr., and Shrek Jr. As an eighth grader, she performed as the dragon in Shrek Jr. She is in Women’s Choir during the school day. She also plays JV soccer in the fall for Thomas. Peyton is very excited to be a part of this year’s production and would like to genuinely thank her family and friends for supporting her from the very beginning, and would specifically like to thank her parents for all the encouragement and support they have given her through the years.
Tristan Altobelli (Mereb) is a freshman at Webster Thomas High School. He is very excited to be in his second Thomas musical. His previous roles include Aladdin in Aladdin Jr., Mr. Darling in Peter Pan Jr., Shrek in Shrek Jr., and Ensemble in Grease. Tristan would like to thank his family and friends for their love and support.
Logan Smith (Nubian/Handmaiden/Ensemble) is a 10th grader at Thomas H.S. She has been doing musicals since she was in the fourth grade. Her favorite roll Was Cubby in the Musical “Peter Pan”. She is in Thomas Select Choir, Chorale, Women’s Choir, and Contrary Motion. Over the years she has done many All-County and Area All-State choruses. She is also a part of the 2019 Board of Directors and the Improv Club. Logan is the treasurer of the Choral department. She loves to sing and is excited to be a part of the show. She would like to thank her friends, family, and directors, for helping her improve so much. She hopes you enjoy the show.
Sophia Foti (Amneris) is a senior at Webster Thomas.  She is very excited to be in the production of AIDA this year.  Sophia has been involved in theater since middle school.  She has performed in Thomas’ past productions of Sweet Charity and Grease.  She has also been a part of many choirs during her 4 years at Thomas including RPO Pops, Select Choir and the Webster Show Choir.  Sophia has participated in many solo and group performances at concerts such as Cabaret and Talent Showcase.  She would like to thank the Music department for all of their support and for giving her so many wonderful opportunities.  Sophia would also like to thank her fellow cast members for all the laughs and memories they have shared throughout high school.  Lastly, Sophia would like to thank her family for all of their love and support.
Joe Badaracco (Amonasro) This is Joe’s final performance at Webster Thomas. His many roles during his time at Thomas include Elwood P. Dowd (Harvey), Roger (Grease), Newton Fuller (George Washington Slept Here), Juror #3 (Twelve Angry Jurors) and Jonathan Brewster (Arsenic and Old Lace). He is also involved in the Barrel of Monkeys Men’s Choir, Contrary Motion Acapella Group, the Comedy Improv Club, and the Select Choir. Joe would like to thank his friends and family for cheering him on every step of the way. He would also like to thank his directors Mrs. Nitsch, Mr. Dass and Mrs. Covach for helping him improve his skills.
Becca Hammack (Ensemble) is a sophomore and is thrilled to be in this year’s production of AIDA. This is her second production at Webster Thomas. At school she participates in Chorale and Show Choir and also takes Music Theory. Some of her past credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Godspell (Turn Back O’ Man), Grease (Patty), and The Music Man. She studies voice with Kayleigh DeBrine and dance at Symphony Dance. She would like to thank her friends for all their support and her parents for their encouragement in her dreams. She thanks the whole cast for their hard work during this amazing production.
Tessa Kilian (Ensemble) is currently a senior and in the Chorale and Show Choir. She was a part of the NYSSMA All State Conference earlier this year. She has participated in 3 of the Thomas Musicals and many outside shows at STAGES. Next year she will be attending SUNY Geneseo in hopes to be a doctor.
Jeremy Fregeau (Zoser)is a senior at Webster Thomas High School. He will be attending SFIEC in San Francisco, California in the Fall. Jeremy is actively involved in the music department in Select, TriM Honor Society, Barrel of Monkeys and also Contrary Motion, which he is a co-founder. Outside of school, Jeremy works at the Webster Aquatic Center as well as Chipotle. Also, Jeremy speaks a crap ton of languages and gets all the ladies. Jeremy has been in the past 3 Thomas productions including Anything Goes as John, Sweet Charity and Grease as Doody. Lastly, he would like to thank Brenda Nitsch for always picking songs that were really high.
CJ Garbin (Radames) is a junior at Thomas H.S. His theatre credits include Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson, Music Man , American Idiot, Hairspray, Violet, Guys & Dolls, West Side Story , The Wedding Singer Children of EdenPeter Pan and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.  CJ is a Member of Roc City Singers, Contrary Motion, Barrel of Monkeys and Thomas’s Select Ensemble. He would like to thank Mrs. Nitsch, Kapil, Julie and Madison for this great experience.
Jessica Giordano (Ensemble) is a senior at Webster Thomas High School and is very excited to spend the last musical of her high school career with the cast of AIDA. Her previous roles include Veta Louise Simmons in Harvey, Katie in George Washington Slept Here, and Miss Hathaway in The Beverly Hillbillies. She has also studied with the Geva Summer Academy for the summers of 2015 and 2016. Next year, she plans to attend college where she will major in Theatre and Acting.
Kelsey Blackerby (Ensemble) is a senior and is excited to take her final bows on the Thomas stage. In her time at Thomas, you may have seen Kelsey on stage in the ensemble in Sweet Charity, as Miss Lynch in Grease and as Mrs. Ethel Chavunet in the play Harvey. Kelsey has been fairly active in theatre outside of school, her favorite roles include Enid Hoopes in Legally Blonde and Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray. Kelsey will be attending college next year to major in Adolescent Education with a focus in English and a minor in Theatre Arts. Kelsey would like to thank Mrs. Nitsch and Mr. Dass for their guidance and dedication on and off stage over the past few years as she would not be where she is today. She would also like to thank her family and friends for the constant love and support they have given her throughout the years. Enjoy the show!
Alejandra Rodríguez (Ensemble) is delighted to be a part of this year’s Thomas Musical. In the past she has participated in different theatre programs through Stages and the Webster Theatre Guild. Outside of theatre she enjoys being a member of the Cross Country team, the Outdoor Track team, Math League, and the 2019 Board of Directors. In her free time she enjoys reading and dancing. Alejandra would like to thank her directors, fellow cast members, as well as friends and family for their constant guidance and encouragement. She would like to especially thank her mother for the unwavering support and motivation.
Annalise DePaull (Ensemble) is a freshman at Thomas H.S. This is the first musical she has been in since Aladdin at Willink, and she is incredibly happy to be back on stage. Annalise sings in the Concert Choir as well as Women’s Choir and she is also an alto in Contrary Motion and Barbieshop. This year she was chosen for the Jr. High Area All-State Choir. She is a High Honor roll student and is in the Rotary Interact Club at Thomas. Annalise would like to thank her family and friends for their support.
Kaitlyn Cottrell (Ensemble) is ecstatic to be returning to the Webster Thomas stage. Her previous credits include Grease and Sweet Charity. Outside of the theatre program, she is a proud member of Select Choir, the National Honor Society, Link Crew and the Cross Country team. Each production she’s taken part in has been more and more meaningful to her, and she would like to thank her directors, her fellow cast members, and her amazing family for their constant support and motivation to improve.
Kate Barry(Ensemble) is very excited to begin her Thomas experience being in this years’ musical AIDA. Kate was involved in past musicals at Willink such as Aladdin Jr., where she was a harem girl, Peter Pan Jr., where she played the role of Wendy Darling, as well as Shrek. Jr, where she played the Wicked Witch. Kate would like to thank her friends and family for their support and is very excited for everyone to see this years’ production.
Celia Darling (Ensemble) is a freshman at Webster Thomas and is thrilled to be in her 11th production, AIDA. You may have seen Celia as Ms Johnson in Harvey, Diana Barry in Anne of Green Gables, Slappy Sammerstein in Golly Gee Whiz!, or Fiona in Shrek the Musical. Last spring, Celia directed Dorothy in Wonderland at Willink Middle School. Celia sings in Women’s Choir during the school day; she is involved in Improv club, Shakespeare Club, International Club, and Morning Women’s Choir. Celia would like to thank her friends, family, and cast members for all the support.
Ash DeCann (Ensemble) is a senior at Webster Thomas H.S. This is her second show as a high schooler but fourth overall. She had performed in Willink M.S. The Little Mermaid , in The Seussical Jr with Spotlight Theater and Grease as a Junior. Ashley is not in chorus but instead she is in the Philharmonic Orchestra at Thomas. She has played the violin for nearly nine years. Outside of school Ashley writes. Her favorite genre is romance and science-fiction. Next year she plans to go to Monroe Community College for Creative Writing and soon onto Brockport to finish her English degree.
Eric Mews (Ensemble) is a freshman at Thomas H.S and has been involved in the music and drama departments ever since he moved to New York as a 6th grader. His previous shows include Aladdin, Peter Pan, Shrek and the production of Grease last year. He is very excited to be a part of this year’s production of AIDA. Eric would like to thank his friends and family for supporting him through the process and helping him achieve his goals. Eric would also like to thank the cast for lots of memories and more to come.
Carrie McVay (Ensemble, Exotic Dancer, Dance Captain) is a senior pursuing her final musical at Thomas High School.  Carrie performed in the past four productions at Thomas including Anything Goes, Sweet Charity, Greece and now AIDA.  Carrie has been dancing with Dance Connection for over fourteen years and couldn’t imagine life without the love and support of her fellow dancers and teachers, as well as her family’s encouragement to keep moving forward.  After high school Carrie is going to college to major in dance and minor in psychology.  It will be bitter-sweet to finish the final show of AIDA, as it will be her last time performing on the Thomas stage, but Carrie can’t wait to come back to admire all the hard work the students and directors put into the future shows.
Gio Battaglia (Nubian/Soldier) is currently a sophomore at Thomas and has been involved in the music program since 6th grade. He has been in past productions such as Thomas’ production of Grease! as well as being in Willink’s productions of Aladdin Jr. and Peter Pan Jr. Gio is part of Rotary Club as well as an anchor for the Morning News. Gio sings Baritone in Men’s Choir, as well as Bass in Chorale. Gio would like to thank his friends and family for always supporting his decisions and being there for him.
Morgan Beaton (Nehebka) is a senior at Thomas High School and this is her second year doing musicals. Morgan is president of the Chorus Department and Tri-M National Honor Society. She sings alto in Thomas Select Choir. Highlights of her high school career include going to Conference All-State, Holiday RPO Pops, making High Honor Roll with Distinction every quarter, and running two acapella groups.  Morgan would like to thank her family for their support and the cast of AIDA for making her senior year truly special.
Laney Spring (Ensemble) a junior, is thrilled to be part of this year’s musical production of AIDA! Laney has studied acting throughout middle school, high school and in various community programs. She is also trained in ballet, tap and jazz. She is best known for her roles as Genie in Willink’s production of Disney’sAladdin Jr .and Juror #10 in The Thomas Production of 12 angry jurors. Laney plays the Cello in the high school Philharmonic Orchestra and she holds a black belt in Isshin Ryu karate. In her off time, Laney loves to work with children and has been a student assistant for the middle school drama productions and an assistant teacher for Drama Kids Acting Academy summer program. In October, she takes her acting to the Castle of Horrors, where she has been cast as a doctor, a zombie and a psych patient. Laney wishes to thank her family & friends for supporting her love of the arts.
Noah Swain (Ensemble) is a junior at Thomas High school. Aida is his seventh show at Thomas. Noah would like to thank his friends, family and cast members for all their encouragement and support.
Josh Tombline (Ensemble) is a junior and very happy to be part of the Webster Thomas High School cast of Aida. Josh is a part of many choirs at Webster Thomas including: Select Choir, Show Choir and Barrel of Monkeys. He is a dedicated soccer player for Lakefront Soccer club and the Titans JV soccer team. This will be his second appearance on stage. Josh gives thanks to his parents and his friends for their support and encouragement.
